Wow.....busy week, and from here on in it'll be even busier. So a few things happened this week in Cochranetown.....First, I failed the first part of my A+ certifications.....major bummer but I'll pass next time. Second, I got a full time job at Ryder Logistics doing paperwork and data entry. This job will see me going to school from 9-3, and then to work from 4-12. I should be a zombie by the end of week 1 or 2. The work isn't that difficult though, so it shouldn't be too bad. I'll be working by myself pretty much so tunes will help get me through. Kinger, hook me up with some suggestions. You too Chris, I usually trust you guys when it comes to the tunes.....Thirdly, my parents moved out of their house last weekend, and all this week. They have been living in the same place for 25 years, so it was a long and hectic move. Bittersweet really, but my parents will be happier in their new place. For those who care, I will have pictures in the next couple of days. So its Friday night, I just got home from work and I am gonna hit the books and prepare to study for next week's 2 tests.........On a musical note, if you're into mellow tunes that will depress the shit out of you or just relax you, then I suggest checking out The Neverending White Lights. Pretty much a collaberation band who include everbody from Raine Maida to Dallas Green of Alexisonfire.......Even the dude from 311 does up some slow jams. Great tunes, and I will leave you with that.....Until next time, I hope you enjoyed your stay in Cochranetown......Peace out!

P.S I would like to give a shout out to Bard, who finally graduates from Western tomorrow. Its been a long haul buddy but congrats and good luck with building your fryer grease powered bus.........and finishing your bathroom....hahaha

Original six battles are always good. Whether it be Leafs and Boston, or Leafs and Montreal.........Tonight it was the Bad News Bears from Boston..Well, it ended in a shootout at the O.K coral and Eddie the eagle spread his wings to avert disaster. If he failed, it would mean three straight shootout losses for the Leafs.
He didn't fail. Eddie made 49 saves in a glorious effort in Overtime and the shootout to give the Leafs the extra shootout point.

Eric Lindros scored the lone shootout goal, while Jason Allison handed Raycroft a biscuit that was already cold. He even tried to tap in the bound in a shootout......It's too late bud, you should opt out if chosen again for a shootout. Tell Quinner you don't feel well, or that your fingers hurt, something so he will choose somebody else.....Anyway, I'm pumped, the Leafs win in a thriller, and Prison Break was money. I hate waiting a week between episodes but hey what can you do??

So tonight we will finally get to see what is going on in the world of PRISON BREAK.
This has got to be the best show on TV, ever since the creation of CSI. CSI is a great show, but it just doesn't bring the intensity that Prison Break brings. Every episode is an adrenaline rush that lasts for about an hour. If you haven't seen the show, then crawl out from under the rock you are staying in and explore the prison break world. You won't be disappointed I promise.
So in other news....tomorrow is the first part of my A+ certifications. In order to pass, I need to score a minimum of 515 out of 900 marks, which is a 57%. Sounds easy right? not really, probably one of the hardest tests I have ever taken. I've been doing some practice tests and the best I have scored is 84% which isn't bad. The actually expect you to score higher on the practice test in order to pass. An 84% was a fail, so really I don't know what to expect on the test.....Wish me luck

So, here it is Saturday night and I am home by myself. LOSER!!!! anyway, took some time to assemble a new desk, which really isn't all that great but we won't get into it. Last night I attended my first CFL game. Hamilton Ti-cats vs Ottawa Renegades. Overall it was a pretty good experience. The brought out the biggest Canadian flag I have ever seen. It was massive as you can see in the pic. Lots of great plays and huge hits kept my attention..........the cheerleaders were just disgusting though.......................hasjdfghasjkdhliesdlklask.......Sorry, just had to clear my throat there. At halftime we were treated to John Ellison, which is for those who don't know, the gentleman who wrote the song "some kind of wonderful". He sang it and was pretty good. Anyway, it was a chilly night but worth it. Thanks again to Kelly Hunter for scoring the free tickets.Well that's it for tonight, the Leafs lost and I'm feeling just generally negative and uncreative. Hopefully I will have something more interesting for you tomorrow, so until then.....thanks for visiting Cochranetown...

So this blog wouldn't be a blog without me mentioning at least one thing about the LEAFS. They are currently on a 4 game win streak without the beloved Mats. At the beginning of the year I will admit that there was SOME doubt in me that the team would do fairly good. But for the most part I was keeping the hope alive. I must say I am very impressed with the play of Eric Lindros. I guess it really makes a difference when you want to play for a team, which he has wanted to play for the Leafs for some time. On the other hand, I think its time for Quinn to bite the bullet and get rid of Aki "pylon" Berg. The guy is garbage. I don't know the exact stats, but I'm sure that he has the worst +/- in the league. Anyway, I hope they can keep it up. As for the NHL as a whole, I am impressed. As a hockey fan, i truly think that this is some of the best hockey I have seen in the longest time, for regular season. It reminds me of the 80's, even though I was young, I remember how high scoring the games were, and how fast paced and open it was. Good Job NHL. Feel free to make all the negative comments you want. be sure to leave the name of your favourite team for comebacks though.

Now, onto more important things. When I showed my girlfriend Julia this blog, she wondered why I hadn't mentioned her. Well here ya go baby. As you may or may not know, my girlfriend's name is Julia Churchill. She is everything to me. Apple of my eye, Soulmate till I die, you name it. Whatever I have done in the last 3 years Jules has supported me 100%. She has helped me out in so many ways its ridiculous. She is smart, witty, loving, caring, focused, cuddly, sporty, fun, mushy mush mush mush. I could go on forever. She is the best thing that has ever happened to me. Oh, and she's pretty good in the corners too. Quite the little hockey player. Oh, and to top it all of, she's quite the looker. So for all that know her, you know she's special to me, and for all that don't, you know now. I love you Jules, and this will probably be the last mushy thing posted on this blog, other than the day I drop down to one knee. That will definitely be an update.

So for probably the only time, I am going to rant about the government......Specifically Unemployemt insurance. What a crack-job it is. Recently I was laid off from my job at Gentek. During my time at the hellhole, I decided that it would be beneficial for me to return to school in hopes of bettering my education. Hoping this would start a new career for me in the near future, i decided to go for it. Well, I got laid off which was a blessing and I applied for Employment Insurance. Thinking that it was in the bag, and that they would think that going to school was a good idea seeing as I had been laid off once before within a year, I relied on the system to help me out....BIG MISTAKE. Apparently it is frowned upon to return to school to better yourself. In fact, I was told that if I had have taken a part time course (15 hours a week) that I would have been approved. Does this make sense??? If I go to school for 3 hours a day and am able to work 8 then they will pay me until I decide to get a job? I always thought that the purpose of this system is for those who are out of a job, and cannot find work immediately. For someone in my case, I was told that when I am done school, in February, that I can re-apply for the benefit and I will be able to claim it. This is good because by then I will probably be broke and trying to sell my body for cash, under the table of course. The whole situation just makes me very angry, and now I am searching for a new job which I will have to work ever day to make payments and somehow fit time into my schedule to do schoolwork, study, and maybe have 10 minutes to do my own thing. Although this Blog takes a bit of time, it does allow me to vent in some form and keep my sanity. Anyway, hopefully this didn't bore you and I will end here..........tune in tomorrow for another episode

So apparently, we will no longer be able to buy new Tea Party CDs...Its a bummer because I really like the Doors, and nobody covers the Doors quite like the Tea Party......anyway, it's wednesday night and I have decided to skip school tomorrow to study.....It's bad I know, but its for a good cause right? Friday night I am going to my first CFL game in Hamilton. I don't follow the CFL that much other than the Grey Cup, but it should be good. Everybody who is a sports fan should try to get to each sport at least one. Nothing will ever compare to the Bell Canadian Open though...Thanks Hunter....and thanks for the Ti-Cats tickets too. You are truly my sports hook-up. I think you really need to work on the Leafs tickets though.....Anyway, we'll post some footy pics when they are available...

Welcome to Cochranetown!!! This is my first Blog so bare with me along the way. This is also my first post obviously so I will make it short and sweet. Thank you Christopher J for giving me the idea to start this. Your Blog is money, especially the pics of the dude in the orange SPYES shirt........I don't even remember it being taken. Did I down that many pints?? Oh well, good times. Anyway, I will update this as frequently as possible, and hope you all enjoy it.

Ps, I'm a fan of the self pic......I get bored easily, so be prepared........
